Whole house remodels give homeowners the house of their dreams without making them move across town, the state, or the country.
You love your property and your neighbors, but you’ve outgrown your home. This problem happens to many homeowners, and whole house remodels are a great solution. Not everyone wants to buy a new home. Others are content staying in an area they love. But many may not be completely satisfied with their current home layout.
The renovation team at the William E. Carter Company specializes in remodels of all types. Whether you need a larger master suite or a more functional kitchen, we will create a design that is sure to surpass your expectations. Our clients never have to settle. We provide the highest quality work on every project we do, and when we take on a job, we complete it the right way the first time.
The Benefits of a Complete Home Renovation
Remember when you first purchased your home? You were excited about what it had to offer, including the lot and the neighborhood. But family dynamics change over time, and most people wish their house could offer them something more or different. Moving to a new area may be out of the question, but a home renovation could solve your problems.
At the William E. Carter Company, we renovate all types of homes, from cozy cottages to sprawling estates. Our team will move walls, tear down obstructions, and change the entire layout. Your wish is our command.
Here are some of the benefits of renovating your home:
- You don’t have to leave behind your neighbors.
- It’s possible to take advantage of the land you already own.
- The result can look like a newly constructed house.
- Everything inside is new once again.
- You end up with the home of your dreams.
When we accept a job, we don’t just slap on a coat of paint and call it done. Instead, our design team will work diligently with you to come up with a plan that checks off every item on your list.
How a Renovation Differs from a Custom Build
While our team at the William E. Carter Company loves building custom homes, we also know the value of a total house renovation. However, it may surprise you to learn the processes are more similar than different, at least when our expert contractors are on the job.
The main difference between a renovation and a custom build is the location. We build custom homes on empty lots, while you get to stay in your current neighborhood with a remodel. Why does this matter? Some of our clients love where they live and have no intention of moving. Perhaps they have kids in grade school, or maybe they want to capitalize on their land. Either way, we can give them a new house without them ever leaving home.
When we remodel a home, we do have a few more limitations. We can’t expand your lot, and we must abide by local codes. However, we can create a better floor plan than what you have currently. You’ll still get to sign off on every part of the design, and we work one-on-one with our clients to ensure their finished home surpasses their expectations.
Everything else we do is very similar to a custom home. Our crew will gut everything. Whenever possible, we’ll leave the foundation and most of the subfloor, but everything else will be brand new. That includes new electrical, plumbing, mechanical, air ducts…everything. You’ll get a new home with old bones.
